Gillette Venus Cup Regional Cricket Tournament Our Christchurch Girls’ High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora 1st XI Cricket Team competed in the qualifying tournament for the Gillette Venus Cup last week, 25 – 26 October 2022.

The team had a successful two days dominating in each of their games.

Day 1 :Christchurch Girls HS 231/3 (Sacha Arnold 62, Maggie Martin 67) beat St Margaret’s 2nd XI 71/8 Christchurch Girls High School/Te Kura O Hine Waiora 216/1 (Sacha Arnold 70 ret, Estella Wallace 66 ret) beat Rolleston 48/8

Day 2: Christchurch Girls’ High School/Te Kura O Hine Waiora 205 (Maggie Martin 105*, Estella Wallace 68) beat Cashmere 91FinalChristchurch Girl’s HS 153/4 (Estella Wallace 68, Summer Karas 3/25) beat Villa Maria 83/3 

Congratulations to our 1st XI team; they now represent Canterbury at the national tournament which is to beheld at Lincoln 22 – 22 December.
